SITUATION

1. SITUATION A. ENEMY FORCES Following the successful operations conducted by Tempest 1 and Tempest 2, insurgent forces have lost control of Dubrovka, Gorka, Polana, and a heavily fortified woodland encampment. Their final major territorial stronghold in northeastern Chernarus is the coastal city of Berezino. Insurgent commanders understand that the loss of Berezino could effectively end their organized territorial resistance. Surviving insurgent formations are believed to have consolidated inside the city, establishing barricades, fortified buildings, defensive positions, and mutually supporting strongpoints. Enemy resistance is expected to be desperate. Insurgents may employ machine guns, RPG teams, fortified industrial compounds, concealed infantry, and mobile reserves. The militant commander known as 'The Captain' remains at large and may be operating within Berezino. B. ENEMY DEFENSIVE SECTORS SECTOR 1 — NORTHERN INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT: HEAVILY FORTIFIED. Warehouses, industrial compounds, storage facilities, and large structures provide defensive cover. Expect prepared fighting positions, machine guns, RPG teams, and infantry defending industrial facilities. SECTOR 2 — CENTRAL RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT AND LOGGING COMPANY: HEAVY TO EXTREME FORTIFICATIONS. Residential buildings and commercial structures surround a wood-processing and logging company identified on the operational map. Intelligence assesses the logging facility as a major insurgent stronghold, potentially containing barricades, entrenched infantry, defensive positions, and concealed reserves. SECTOR 3 — SOUTHERN MAIN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT: EXTREMELY HEAVY RESISTANCE EXPECTED. This sector encompasses the main southern residential district and remaining urban approaches. Insurgents may concentrate surviving forces here for a final defense of the city. C. FRIENDLY FORCES The 7th Legion has secured the surrounding inland settlements and is positioned to conduct a major urban offensive. Tempest elements will conduct the clearance operation, with Valkyrie aviation support as available. Chernarussian Defense Forces may assist with perimeter security, casualty evacuation, and stabilization of liberated territory. D. CIVILIAN CONSIDERATIONS Berezino remains a populated city. Civilian presence must be assumed throughout all sectors. Enemy fighters may occupy civilian infrastructure or attempt to conceal themselves among the population. American forces must maintain positive identification and comply with established rules of engagement. E. CRITICAL THREAT — CAPTURE The risk of American personnel being isolated and captured during close-quarters combat is assessed as HIGH. Dense urban terrain, restricted visibility, separated fireteams, and interior building layouts create opportunities for insurgents to overwhelm wounded or isolated Legionaries. Enemy forces may attempt to capture Americans for intelligence, propaganda, or leverage.

MISSION

The 7th Legion conducts a deliberate, three-phase urban offensive to seize and fully clear Berezino, eliminate organized insurgent resistance, secure critical industrial and civilian infrastructure, and deny the insurgency its final major territorial stronghold in northeastern Chernarus. All three sectors must be cleared sequentially. No unit will advance into the next sector until the current sector has been fully secured and command has authorized continuation.

EXECUTION

3. EXECUTION A. COMMANDER'S INTENT The objective is the complete liberation of Berezino through a disciplined, methodical urban offensive. The operation will be conducted in THREE PHASES corresponding to the sectors marked on the operational map. Speed is secondary to unit cohesion, civilian protection, personnel accountability, and complete sector clearance. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL FORCES ADVANCE INTO THE NEXT PHASE UNTIL THE CURRENT PHASE HAS BEEN FULLY CLEARED AND COMMAND HAS AUTHORIZED CONTINUATION. B. PHASE I — SECTOR 1: NORTHERN INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT ENEMY DEFENSE: HEAVY. The northern industrial district contains warehouses, industrial facilities, storage compounds, and large structures suitable for fortified insurgent positions. Intelligence expects machine-gun emplacements, RPG teams, barricaded structures, entrenched infantry, and potentially concealed enemy reserves. MISSION: Capture and completely clear the northern industrial district. Secure all designated industrial facilities, eliminate organized resistance, and establish control of Sector 1 before advancing. C. PHASE II — SECTOR 2: CENTRAL RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT AND LOGGING COMPANY ENEMY DEFENSE: HEAVY TO EXTREME. Sector 2 contains residential buildings, commercial structures, and a wood-processing and logging company identified by the red square on the operational map. The logging company is assessed as a major insurgent stronghold. Enemy forces are expected to exploit industrial structures, lumber stacks, barricades, and prepared defensive positions. Surrounding residential buildings may contain additional insurgent fighters and mutually supporting positions. MISSION: Clear the central residential district and capture the logging company. All designated buildings, compounds, and defensive positions must be secured before command authorizes advancement into Sector 3. D. PHASE III — SECTOR 3: SOUTHERN MAIN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT ENEMY DEFENSE: EXTREME. Sector 3 encompasses Berezino's main southern residential district and remaining urban approaches. Intelligence assesses that surviving insurgent forces may consolidate here following the loss of the northern and central sectors. Expect desperate resistance, fortified residential buildings, barricades, and remaining insurgent reserves. The enemy understands that the loss of Berezino could effectively end its organized territorial control of northeastern Chernarus. MISSION: Capture and completely clear the southern residential district, eliminate remaining organized resistance, and establish control of Berezino. E. PHASE TRANSITION REQUIREMENTS Before advancing into the next sector, all assigned buildings and compounds must be cleared, remaining organized resistance must be eliminated or contained, friendly personnel must be accounted for, casualties and missing personnel must be reported, and command must explicitly authorize the next phase. A phase is not complete merely because its primary enemy strongpoint has been defeated. Cleared areas must remain secured against insurgent infiltration and counterattack. F. SPECIAL DIRECTIVE — CAPTURE RISK Insurgent forces may attempt to capture isolated American personnel, particularly during close-quarters engagements. The events at Gorka demonstrated the consequences of separation, communications failures, and unsuccessful recovery attempts. Unit cohesion and accountability remain mandatory throughout the operation. G. END STATE All three sectors of Berezino are secured, the logging company and industrial facilities are under friendly control, organized insurgent resistance has been defeated, and the CDF is positioned to restore governmental authority. The Captain's status is determined if possible.

SUSTAINMENT

4. SUSTAINMENT / SERVICE SUPPORT Primary logistics and replacement supplies will originate from established American positions outside Berezino, including the Northeast Airfield where available. Medical personnel will establish casualty collection arrangements within secured areas. Casualty evacuation routes must remain accessible throughout the offensive. Valkyrie aviation assets may provide reconnaissance, transport, medical evacuation, and authorized fire support depending on availability and mission conditions. Civilian casualties, displaced families, and damaged infrastructure are anticipated. Coordination with CDF authorities and humanitarian personnel is required as sectors are secured. Ammunition, medical supplies, and personnel readiness must be assessed before each phase transition. No unit is expected to continue an assault without adequate sustainment or command authorization. Enemy counterattacks and reinforcement attempts remain possible. Secured sectors must retain sufficient friendly presence to prevent reoccupation.

COMMAND & SIGNAL

5. COMMAND AND SIGNAL A. COMMAND Overall operational authority rests with designated 7th Legion Expeditionary Command. Tempest leadership retains responsibility for execution within assigned sectors. Valkyrie coordinates aviation support through established command channels. B. COMMUNICATIONS All units must maintain communications with their chain of command and provide sector-clearance reports before advancing. Mandatory reports include enemy contact, casualties, missing personnel, suspected captures, civilian incidents, and completion of assigned objectives. C. SPECIAL DIRECTIVE — HIGH CAPTURE RISK The previous loss of three Legionaries at Gorka demonstrated the consequences of communications failures and isolated personnel. Commanders will maintain strict accountability throughout Berezino. Missing personnel must be reported immediately. No element will independently advance beyond its assigned sector without authorization. D. SPECIAL DIRECTIVE — PHASED CLEARANCE No phase transition is authorized without confirmation that the assigned sector has been cleared and secured. Command authorization is mandatory before any movement into the next sector. E. FINAL COMMANDER'S MESSAGE Berezino represents the insurgency's final major stronghold in northeastern Chernarus. The 7th Legion has paid dearly to reach this point. The objective is not simply to enter the city, but to secure it, protect its people, and ensure the sacrifices made at Khelm, Dubrovka, and Gorka were not in vain. The road to Berezino has been opened. Now the 7th Legion must finish what it started.
