SITUATION

The Chernarussian government has requested the 7th Legion's assistance after armed separatists seized Krasnostav, Khelm, and Northeast Airfield. Chernarussian Defence Forces are unable to restore control of the northeastern sector without outside support. Government intelligence indicates that the separatists are receiving weapons and foreign personnel through a network linked to the Butcher. Having expanded his connections beyond Everon, the Butcher is suspected of using the occupied airfield as a transit point and regional headquarters for his organization. His personal presence is unconfirmed. Enemy forces occupy the marked settlements and airfield facilities. Their strength and reinforcement capabilities remain unknown. Civilians may remain in the area, and government forces are friendly. Preserve civilian infrastructure and the airfield facilities needed to restore government control.

MISSION

On April 10, 1999, Tempest 1 conducts an airborne insertion onto Chernarus at DZ ALPHA, clears separatist forces from Krasnostav (OBJ ECHO) and Khelm (OBJ HOTEL), and seizes Northeast Airfield (OBJ FOXTROT) in order to assist the Chernarussian government, restore control of the northeastern sector, and disrupt the Butcher's regional network.

EXECUTION

COMMANDER'S INTENT Establish a foothold, clear the marked settlements, and capture Northeast Airfield intact. Recover intelligence from the suspected regional headquarters and prepare the objectives for transfer to Chernarussian government forces. Capturing the Butcher is not a confirmed mission requirement; his presence has not been verified. PHASE I — AIRBORNE INSERTION All elements insert at DZ ALPHA and assemble at RP OMEGA. Squad leaders establish accountability and report casualties, missing personnel, and equipment losses. Command authorizes movement once the force is assembled. PHASE II — ADVANCE TO ASSIGNED POSITIONS Tempest 1-1 follows the BLUE route north through RP ALPHA, then advances on OBJ ECHO at Krasnostav. Clear hostile positions within the settlement and report when the objective is secure. Prepare to support the airfield assault from the western approaches. Tempest 1-2 follows the GREEN route east toward RP CHARLIE. Establish security south of OBJ FOXTROT and prepare for the coordinated airfield assault. Report enemy movement and await Command's order before advancing into the airfield. Command moves wherever required to maintain control, assess progress, and support the main effort. Headquarters is not bound to either squad's route. PHASE III — SEIZE OBJ FOXTROT Following the clearance of OBJ ECHO and confirmation that both squads are ready, Command initiates the coordinated assault on Northeast Airfield. Secure the runway, hangars, administrative buildings, and remaining occupied facilities. Search the suspected headquarters for documents, communications equipment, and records linking the separatists to the Butcher. Preserve recovered intelligence and report significant discoveries immediately. PHASE IV — CLEAR OBJ HOTEL Once the airfield is secured, Command designates an element to advance on Khelm and clear OBJ HOTEL. The remaining element maintains security at the airfield. Search the village for hostile positions, supply caches, and additional evidence of the Butcher's network. COORDINATING INSTRUCTIONS Maintain positive identification of hostile forces. Protect civilians, accept surrender, and secure detainees for transfer. Avoid unnecessary damage to homes and airfield infrastructure. Report suspected sightings of the Butcher immediately; do not abandon assigned objectives or begin an independent pursuit. Changes to the objective sequence require Command authorization. END STATE OBJ ECHO, OBJ FOXTROT, and OBJ HOTEL are clear of organized enemy resistance; the airfield is held and usable pending inspection; recovered intelligence and detainees are secured; and Tempest 1 is prepared for government handover or further tasking.

SUSTAINMENT

All personnel deploy with ammunition, medical supplies, and mission-essential equipment appropriate for airborne operations. Squad leaders verify readiness before insertion and report supply shortfalls after assembly. Squad medics provide initial casualty care. Command designates casualty collection points as the operation progresses. Casualty evacuation assets, procedures, and resupply arrangements are TBD and will be confirmed during the briefing. Do not assume Northeast Airfield is available for friendly aircraft until Command confirms the runway and surrounding facilities are secure and suitable for use. Secure recovered documents, equipment, and detainees at a location designated by Command for transfer to the appropriate friendly authorities.
